Glass Box

For as long as I can remember, I've always been fascinated with tropical fish, never lived in a house with out an aquarium and even my career derives from this hobby.  Yes, I've been called Deuce Bigalow by my friends. Funny as it is, I don't come across as a fish geek lol but I really am.
The last decade or so, I have only kept a particular species of fish. My thing was African Cichlids mainly from Lake Tanganyika. I think I've had every single fish from this lake. So let's just say it got a bit boring and I needed a change. I decided I wanted a more calm atmosphere and community type of layout. Dammit! I must be getting old.

Here are some pictures of the new tank and it's inhabitants.

from LA to Boston...

I had another great time in Boston, another year comes and goes. From sunny 75 to 30 with snow sticking to the ground. Such a different terrain but I appreaciate them equally. Not much substance in the photos, so I apologize.

I did add some random shots of kicks, cars and a shrimp...yes a shrimp named cocktail.

oh and for your listening pleasure.

Textures from Locomotives

I'm gonna slide in here like a James Harden side step and just hit it up like there wasn't a timeout since my last post. Yup, hopefully no one noticed that failed attempt on a 365.

So, let me get to it quickly and give you a few shots of my little outing with the better half.
We both had the day off and decided on going to Griffith Park, more specifically the old locomotives we see when driving on the 134 freeway. Never was into trains but thought it might be a pretty good place for a few clicks. Upon arrival I came to realize that it was high noon and shooting a full train with mad shadows would not be a good look. I was actually more intrigued with the textures and old components of these than anything. Luckily a friend just lent me his 50mm 1.4 and this was a good way to test it out.
